SAT-7’s live services from Resurrection Church in Beirut are a blessing to thousands of Middle Eastern believers. But when the church began helping Syrian refugees, its members found they needed healing themselves – and the Holy Spirit worked powerfully, turning their anger and pain to forgiveness.

Bold initiatives are taking place in Lebanon to build peace between Christians and Muslims in the land of the cedar tree. Dr Martin Accad speaks on SAT-7 ARABIC’s program On the Go about the initiative Bread and Salt which aims to promote acceptance and appreciation between the two faiths.

Through all the pain their country has endured, Syrian believers have been sustained by their steadfast faith. Months after ISIS militants were driven from the last of their territory, Christians gathered in Damascus to praise God. The special thanksgiving event was broadcast live on SAT-7 ARABIC, encouraging viewers across the region.

“Every trip I heard this comment from passengers: ‘Had I known a woman was flying the plane I would never have come on board.’” Egyptian-born Heba Darwish describes her journey of overcoming the barriers in a male-dominated society and profession to achieve her dream of becoming an airline captain.

Of the 25 MENA countries where SAT-7 is watched, 22 are among the worst places in the world for Christians. As believers in the region face persecution and struggle without rights and resources, SAT-7 supports them to follow Jesus. Our programs help seekers find God, new Christians grow in faith, and mature believers thrive.
