“I have experienced a lot of oppression and violence but thank the Lord, I survived. I love your program; it has benefited me a lot,” Samia says.

“My husband was mentally ill for eight years and mistreated us for a long time because of his illness,” she describes.

In addition to the abuse and mistreatment Samia experienced because of her husband’s illness, Samia’s family and friends insisted that she take her daughter out of school due to financial difficulties.
