Praying with Middle Eastern Fathers
Christian fathers in the Middle East are beset on all sides. Persecution, social and cultural pressures, fragile economies, and conflict or post-conflict societies are making Christlike parenting intensely difficult. Despite this, SAT-7 continues to receive inspiring messages from faithful fathers who are doing all they can to help raise their children in a godly way.
Arab men see their value in God’s eyes
In the Middle East Father’s Day tends to go by mostly unnoticed, in sharp contrast to Mother’s Day. The culture tends to see emotional expression as feminine, leaving most men without space or permission to explore their feelings and develop emotional maturity. This affects men’s ability to serve as fathers with a healthy understanding of masculinity and manhood.
Giving young people a voice
The Middle East and North Africa is one of the world’s youngest regions: those aged up to 24 comprise nearly half of the population – so ministering to children and young people is a key priority for SAT-7.

“It is a great privilege to invest in people’s lives when they are still young,” shared Rita El-Mounayer, SAT-7’s Chief Executive Officer, in the dynamic opening session of SAT-7 Europe’s Vision Meeting on 17 September. Ms El-Mounayer left Partners, guests, and online participants in no doubt as to a major future focus of the ministry.
