LENT: WATCH & PRAY FOR THE FINDERS
Each week during Lent, we’re praying for a different group of viewers. This week, we’re praying for The Finders: Those who have found SAT-7 for the first time…
Yahya* had terrible toothache. To make matters worse, he’d run out of painkillers. Knowing his friend had the medicine he needed, he decided to drop by – but little did he know, this impromptu visit was about to turn his life upside down.
Yahya’s friend invited him in and switched on the TV, and a Christian channel came on. Yahya had never seen anything like it. Here was a pastor, wearing jeans, and speaking Persian! His friend wanted to turn it off, but Yahya was transfixed.
“As I listened, I had an amazing feeling as if I was not on the earth,” Yahya later told our viewer support team. “I was engrossed in what the pastor was saying.”
Yahya became a regular viewer of SAT-7 after that. Now, he is growing in his faith in Jesus. “Before I found your channel I was in turmoil, without hope and weary of life,” he says. “Thank God, ever since then my life has greatly changed.”
All it takes is a moment for someone in the MENA to discover SAT-7 and hear about Jesus. This week, let’s pray for the “finders” – those like Yahya in Iran who are switching on SAT-7 for the first time, sometimes unintentionally! Pray that as they watch, they will discover Jesus’ life-changing joy.

SATURDAY 5 MARCH
Pray for Yahya in Iran. Give thanks that he discovered SAT-7 and that through it he has found faith in Jesus. Pray that wherever Yahya is today, he will know the presence and power of the Holy Spirit.
SUNDAY 6 MARCH
Today at 10-11:00 the weekly Sunday service from Resurrection Church in Beirut, Lebanon broadcasts live on SAT-7 ARABIC. Please for anyone who will tune in for the first time and starting their journey of faith.
MONDAY 7 MARCH
As you read this, someone in the MENA could be flicking through the channels looking for something to watch on television. Pray that they will land on one of SAT-7’s channels and be drawn in.
TUESDAY 8 MARCH
“I just discovered SAT-7 TÜRK a couple of days ago. I’m not a Christian but your channel is really affecting me. I’m watching it secretly from my husband and my son. I realise that there are so many things I don’t know about Jesus Christ and I see no harm in learning more.” Pray for Ceyda in Turkey now, that she will keep watching, learning and growing.
WEDNESDAY 9 MARCH
“How can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard?” (Romans 10:14). Pray that viewers will have the courage to introduce their friends to SAT-7.
THURSDAY 10 MARCH
Every day between 11:30 and 13:00, a Christian film is shown on SAT-7 PARS. Pray that more people than usual tune in to watch today’s film and that they will be intrigued by it.
FRIDAY 11 MARCH
Adel watched a SAT-7 music video online and got in touch to say: “I asked God to rescue me from sin, and then I went on YouTube and came upon this wonderful song… it was amazing! I love you, my Lord!” Pray that others will discover SAT-7’s worship songs online and be encouraged by them this week.
