Amid all the crises that the Arab World has recently passed through, SAT-7 ARABIC’s weekly program You Are Not Alone has been a voice for those affected and a place to find hope and feel God’s presence.

“Iranian Christian refugees feel they are living in exile,” says Reza Jafari, Presenter of the SAT-7 PARS live program Signal. In this blog written for World Refugee Day (20 June), Reza shares how the challenges Iranian Christians face do not end when they leave Iran, and how SAT-7 PARS is a lifeline to them.

Jad*, a 17-year-old Syrian boy, called in to SAT-7 KIDS to tell his favourite presenter how much the channel’s programs mean to him. When he was displaced and kidnapped by militants in 2015, Jad says, recalling songs from a sing-along worship show brought him comfort.

On 12 December 2019 SAT-7 KIDS celebrated 12 years on air with a special episode aired live through satellite and on social media. Presenter Milad Hadchiti interviewed presenters from previous SAT-7 KIDS programs who shared their best moments on the channel, and viewers called in expressing how their lives have been impacted.

A wave of protests erupted across Iran in November, sparked by an increase in the cost and rationing of fuel. Internet access was cut, and over 200 people were killed when the protests were met with violence. SAT-7 viewers have been sharing their worries, fears and prayers with the Audience Relations team, who have been available 24/7.

Surviving a terrible divorce and false accusations, Hatim*, a SAT-7 ARABIC viewer, found strength in God’s messages of hope and triumph through our programs. Now he is able to help and guide others and share the resources that SAT-7 provides for him.

Through satellite television, viewers of SAT-7 can learn important relationship skills from the Art of Family Communication Conference held in Shorouk, Egypt. Millions of people who could not attend, or access similar resources, can now watch the pre-recorded episodes on their televisions or through online streaming and learn to build healthy family relationships.

As Egypt’s Christians mourn a deadly gun attack on Coptic pilgrims, SAT-7’s Arabic channels have been leading believers across the Middle East in prayer. Several shows lifted up grieving families, injured survivors, and vulnerable Egyptian Christians, allowing viewers to pour out their pain and grief to God.
