SAT-7 KIDS program receives Special Mention at youth television awards
The SAT-7 KIDS team are honoured to have received a Special mention at the 2022 Prix Jeunesse International Festival, which was held on 10-15 June in Munich, Germany. The program Story in the Attic was among the finalists in the “Fiction for Ages 11-15″ category, and was also a finalist for the festival’s Gender Equity Prize.
ADVENT: WATCHING AND LEARNING
16-year-old Tia presents Chato, a comedy and drama programme on SAT-7’s children’s channel. She attends Kasr El-Dobara, a thriving evangelical church in Cairo’s city centre. Here, she shares her heart for SAT-7’s young viewers – that as they watch, they will truly understand Jesus’ love for them:
CHILDREN GROW IN FAITH THROUGH “ALLO MARIANNE”
“The children now talk to God as their friend,” says Marianne Daou, explaining the difference her program Allo Marianne has been making in viewers’ lives. The program has been encouraging Arabic-speaking children throughout some very tough times in 2021, helping them lean on God, grow in understanding, and model His love to others.
AN AFGHAN GIRL’S JOURNEY TO WATCH SAT-7
Taraneh* is a young Afghan girl who lives in Tajikistan and regularly calls in to SAT-7 PARS’ live children’s shows. Her family do not own a television, but she travels three hours to watch her favourite programs at a relative’s home. Taraneh’s inspiring enthusiasm and faith, despite her family’s difficult circumstances, shine through in her messages to the channel.
CHALLENGING THE STIGMA OF MENTAL HEALTH
Where their societies may offer them stigma and shame, the program City of Stars welcomes children with mental health issues with love. The SAT-7 KIDS program seeks to support this marginalised group by giving them a voice.

A new SAT-7 PARS show hopes to bring positive change to the next generation of Persian-speakers. Raising Children in a Godly Way provides parents with unique advice and openly discusses the sensitive and ‘taboo’ topic of child abuse.

A SAT-7 KIDS’ program offers children the chance to feel loved and cherished by their Heavenly Father. Live broadcasts offer songs and teaching, and a spiritual community where kids from different backgrounds feel connected to His family, The Family of Jesus.
BRINGING LIGHT TO YOUNG HEARTS AND MINDS
In the Middle East, a child who turns on the television may be exposed to violence, intolerance, or even radicalisation. In contrast, SAT-7’s children’s programs are a haven for young viewers. By teaching positive, Christ-centred values, these shows are helping ensure a better future for the region.
