FIFTEEN MINUTES WITH JESUS
DISABLED PEOPLE ARE AMONG THE MOST MARGINALIZED GROUPS IN THE MIDDLE EAST AND NORTH AFRICA. THANKS TO LOW AWARENESS AND A CULTURE OF SHAME, DISABLED CHILDREN ARE SOMETIMES HIDDEN AWAY AND NEVER SCHOOLED OR INTEGRATED INTO SOCIETY.
SAT-7 challenges these attitudes and seeks to help people with disabilities reach their God-given potential. Productions have included a game show featuring disabled and able-bodied teenagers, documentaries and award-winning public information spots. Fifteen Minutes with Jesus is a major new 56-episode Bible talk show for the deaf community. Presenter Fr Jean Marie Chami teaches the audience a new sign in each episode before a biblical talk and conversation in sign language with deaf guests.
