SAT-7 TÜRK DOCUMENTARY WINS CULTURAL HERITAGE FILM AWARD
SAT-7 TÜRK’s documentary The Cross and the Wolf, which tells the story of the Christian ethnic Turkish Gagauz people, has been awarded the Cultural Heritage award at the 2021 Universe Multicultural Film Festival. The film is a powerful act of representation and remembrance of a Christian history and culture that is usually overlooked in Turkey.
A PLATFORM FOR THE VOICE OF TURKEY’S CHURCH
SAT-7 TÜRK’s work to represent and connect Christians from different backgrounds in Turkey has created a unique opportunity. In a new documentary, the channel will bring together voices from different denominations to tell the story of a man whose humble faith also crossed many barriers: Padre Luigi Iannito, a beloved Italian priest who ministered for 50 years in Turkey and who passed away earlier this year.

SUICIDE PREVENTION: WHEN HOPE GETS THROUGH
Suicide prevention has never been more important – but how can people receive the support and hope they need if the very topic remains taboo? SAT-7 is one of very few voices speaking out about mental health crisis and suicide in the Middle East. As our channels raise awareness, our Audience Relations teams are supporting and counselling viewers in crisis, providing genuine hope when it seems all hope is lost.
TURKISH FAMILIES RESPOND IN LARGE NUMBERS TO NEW SOCIAL MEDIA PROGRAMS
New SAT-7 TÜRK parenting and relationship programs are receiving a strong response from a new audience on social media. An episode of Family Unity, which discusses the increased challenges facing families today from a Christian perspective, received 100,000 views of over three seconds on Facebook, while advice program, Parents are Asking, is also being well-received.
