This is the thinking behind SAT-7’s use of drama in productions like Backstage and a forthcoming TV film, Toxic, whose characters are looking for healing from the various forms of rejection and violence they have experienced. It is also one of the reasons for SAT-7’s support for a new short film competition for young Christian film-makers in Egypt and the Arab World.
SAT-7 KIDS program receives Special Mention at youth television awards
The SAT-7 KIDS team are honoured to have received a Special mention at the 2022 Prix Jeunesse International Festival, which was held on 10-15 June in Munich, Germany. The program Story in the Attic was among the finalists in the “Fiction for Ages 11-15″ category, and was also a finalist for the festival’s Gender Equity Prize.

Escalating restrictions on women’s freedoms, a return to repressive rule, broken promises for girls’ education, a collapsed economy, and one of the worst humanitarian crises of today’s world have stripped people in Afghanistan of their hopes for the future. SAT-7 PARS is ramping up its efforts and making new connections to respond to these increasingly desperate needs.

Iranians have recently been shocked by the news of two “honour killings” of women, including one believed to have been killed for her faith in Christ. Iranian Christian Omeed Jouyandé explains how Iran’s laws reinforce the discrimination that can underly these crimes, and how SAT-7 PARS offers an alternative in the Christian message of freedom.
