A new collaborative three-year project by SAT-7 and partners to improve social cohesion in Lebanon has received major funding from the Danish Government. Lebanon – Our Story will bring young people from a variety of backgrounds, including Syrian refugees, together to rethink divisive narratives and develop a new shared story of hope.

Asking viewers to rethink their understanding of love, the presenters explore God’s love and how it impacts every aspect of our relationships. Speaking to a society where domestic abuse is prevalent, the show also helps viewers see “what love is not”.

When the pandemic restricted attendance at the ordination of Archbishop Martin Kmetec, the new leader of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Izmir, SAT-7 TÜRK had the privilege of broadcasting the ceremony live on social media, enabling viewers from across the world to join the celebration virtually.
A SAT-7 TRIBUTE TO ALGERIA CHURCH LEADER FR THIERRY BECKER
SAT-7’s Founder, Dr Terence Ascott, has paid tribute to French priest Father Thierry Becker, who escaped death several times during Algeria’s brutal armed conflict in the 1990s and who passed away on 25 January this year. Fr. Becker (age 86) dedicated 60 years of his life to serving the Algerian people and previously represented North Africa’s Catholic Christians on the SAT-7 International Board.
