Ahlem Arfaoui

(SAT-7)

Ahlem lives in Tunisia and has been the manager of Perpetua, a local media company, since 2020. She produces and presents North African programming for SAT-7. She has also been a Sunday school teacher at her church for several years.

Andrea Mounayar

(SAT-7)

Andrea is from Lebanon. She has a BA in Communications and has also studied theology, leadership, and management. She joined SAT-7 in 1996 as an editor and has since served as a director, producer, presenter, and now as SAT-7 KIDS Channel Manager. She has worked in children’s programming for over 20 years.

Archbishop Angaelos

(Coptic Orthodox Archbishop of London)

Archbishop Angaelos was born in Egypt. He holds a degree in Political Science, Philosophy and Sociology, and undertook postgraduate studies in law. He served as General Bishop of the Coptic Orthodox Church in the UK from 1999, and in 2017 he was enthroned as Coptic Orthodox Archbishop of London.

Annamaria Cedolin

(SAT-7)

Annamaria has been working at SAT-7 TÜRK as the Executive Assistant since November 2017. She is currently also a program presenter. She has a BA in French Language and Literature from the University of İstanbul. She has also lived in England, Germany, and France.

Daniel Nygaard Madsen

(CKU)

Daniel has a background in Musicology and Peace and Reconciliation Studies. He is coordinator of CKU’s pooled fund, reserved for its 38 member organisations and their partners. He is on the steering committee of the Lebanon Our Story project, which seeks to promote FoRB and social cohesion in Lebanon.

Daphne Louka

Daphne was born in London and moved to Cyprus in 1995. She holds a Master’s degree in Business Management.  She joined SAT-7 in 2002 and has fulfilled different roles, but since 2007 she has been working with the SAT-7 PARS channel.

David Middleton

(SAT-7)

David trained and worked as an architect in Belfast, prior to cross-cultural and theological training at All Nations Christian College in London. He has worked in Christian ministry for the last twenty-five years. He served as a Director of SAT-7 TÜRK before becoming the International Office Development Director in 2016.

Ed Brown

(Stefanus Alliance Internartional)

Ed is the Secretary General of the Norwegian NGO Stefanus Alliance International, having previously led their work on human rights and religious freedom and served them as an information consultant and human rights adviser. He has also coordinated an international parliamentary network for freedom of religion.

George Makeen

(SAT-7)

George is from Cairo, Egypt. He holds a BA in Theology and an MA in Biblical Theology from The Evangelical Theological Seminary in Cairo. He joined SAT-7 in 2003 as assistant to the head of programs. He now serves as Executive Director of Arabic Channels, responsible for all their programming.

Hale Gencel

(SAT-7)

Hale holds a BA in Sociology from Anadolu University and is a qualified art therapist. She serves as a consultant for the Care Foundation and on the Board of Directors of the Art Psychotherapies Association in Istanbul. She chairs the board of SAT-7 TÜRK and presents programs for the channel.

Rev Dr Jack Sara

(Bethlehem Bible College)

Jack is the President of Bethlehem Bible College and an ordained minister with the Evangelical Alliance Church in the Holy Land, where he oversees the leadership of the churches. He has also worked extensively in the areas of peace and reconciliation.

Joanna Abou Rjeily

(Heart for Lebanon)

Joanna holds a degree in special needs teaching and a Master’s degree in educational management. She has seven years’ experience in teaching children who have survived trying circumstances. She serves as a coordinator and content writer at Heart for Lebanon and presents a children’s program for SAT-7.

Juliana Sfeir

(SAT-7)

Juliana is the manager for SAT-7’s educational brand, SAT-7 ACADEMY. In this role she helps to design equitable, inclusive, accessible, free and holistic educational programs, and reaches out to communities of the MENA region, both refugees and host communities, to promote education, social cohesion, and FoRB.

Lena Eltervåg

(NMS)

Lena has a Master’s degree in poverty reduction, and is an experienced development specialist with extensive international experience in health, gender, education, peace building, and program management. She is committed to strengthening civil society in Africa and the Middle East.

Maggie Morgan

(Independent Filmmaker)

Maggie is an award-winning Egyptian filmmaker, writer, and teacher. She also works as adjunct professor in the film unit at the American University in Cairo and has served on juries at various film festivals. She created and produced the program Needle and Thread, which ran on SAT-7 for seven years.

Marianne Awaraji Daou

(SAT-7)

Marianne comes from Lebanon. She received her Master’s degree in Translation and has worked as an elementary school teacher and a freelance translator. Since 2001 she has also presented and produced a variety of programs for SAT-7 KIDS and SAT-7 ARABIC.

Martin is the Founder and Director of Action Research Associates, Associate Professor of Islamic Studies for Arab Baptist Theological Seminary (Lebanon) and Fuller Theological Seminary (Pasadena, CA), and a Senior Research Fellow for The Blankemeyer Foundation

Martin Thomas

(SAT-7)

Martin has worked in the charity sector for over 25 years in various roles and has a passion for sharing God’s mission, in the UK and overseas. He has worked for SAT-7 UK since 2017 as Director of External Engagement. He is also a writer, speaker, and published children’s author.

Maroun Bou Rached

(SAT-7)

Maroun joined SAT-7 in 1999 as an editor/director. He has worked on many projects as producer or director, and he is now Executive Director of SAT-7’s Lebanon office. He is also a professor at the Académie Libanaise des Beaux-Arts, teaching creativity, direction and production.

Melih Ekener

(SAT-7)

Melih graduated from the theatre department of the Istanbul municipal conservatory. He worked as an actor on stage, television, and films, and later as a television director, creative producer and senior manager. He has been Executive Director of SAT-7 TÜRK since 2012 and is also an author and drama teacher.

Mitri is the Founder and President of Dar al-Kalima University College of Arts and Culture in Bethlehem. He is also the author and editor of 40 books.

Pastor Moez Mediouni

(Perpetua Prod)

Moez is a Professor of Philosophy at L’université de Tunis. He is also the Pastor of the Evangelical church in Tunis and President of Perpetua Prod. He is leading a new team in Tunisia that produces programs for SAT-7.

Olga Messios

(SAT-7)

Olga holds a MSc in Human Resources and Organisational Behaviour.  She has worked extensively in the MENA region and has over 20 years of experience in the Christian humanitarian and development sector. Olga joined SAT-7 in March 2018 as Human Resources Director.

Parastoo Poortaheri

(SAT-7)

Parastoo is from Iran. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Media and Communication and a Master’s degree in Digital Media. Parastoo joined SAT-7 PARS in 2007, though she was presenting children’s programs for the channel before then. She currently produces and presents Hashtag, a live show for Farsi-speaking teenagers.

Phil Hilditch

Phil originates from Northern Ireland but grew up in Cyprus and the Middle East. He holds degrees in Theology (BA) and Conflict Transformation and Social Justice (MA). He is a Faith and Development specialist for SAT-7, working with several media-based projects across the MENA region

Rachel joined SAT-7 seventeen years ago after a career in engineering, initially as a short-term volunteer. She now serves as Executive Director of SAT-7 UK.

Rita El-Mounayer

Rita is from Lebanon. She holds a degree in History and Social Science (Lebanese University of Beirut), and a Master’s in Communication Practice (University of Wales). She has worked in Christian media since 1992, and for SAT-7 since 1996. Having served in various roles she was appointed CEO in 2019.

Roozbeh Mahmid

(SAT-7)

Roozbeh was born in Iran and has lived in the UK for over 40 years. His work as SAT-7 PARS’ Audience Relations Officer includes translating, producing the monthly Prayer Calendar, and writing articles. He also writes worship songs and has helped to lead a Persian-speaking fellowship since 2015.

Shady Francis

Shady holds an Executive MBA. He has worked with both global commercial companies and Christian ministries, helping them to deliver and develop their digital strategies. He is now SAT-7’s Arabic Channels Digital Director and Digital Strategist.

Sirene Semerdjian

(SAT-7)

Sirene is from Lebanon and has a BA in Journalism. She joined SAT-7 in 2010 as an assistant producer. Since then, she has worked as a producer on many SAT-7 programs and for local TV channels. Sirene is currently the anchor, producer, and scriptwriter of You Are Not Alone.

Tamer Adly

Tamer comes from Egypt and is a director and program producer. He worked as a video editor and assistant director before beginning his own directing career in 2010. He has directed many programs for children, youth, women, and couples, most recently the SAT-7 KIDS program City of Stars.

Dr Terence Ascott

(SAT-7)

Terence has lived in the Middle East region for over 40 years. In 1995, with Middle Eastern Christian leaders and local partner organisations, he launched SAT-7 as the first Christian satellite television channel in Arabic. In 2011, he was awarded the Honorary Doctor of Christian Ministries degree from Belhaven University.
