Position Summary

The purpose of SAT 7 is to provide Christian content through satellite television, digital and social media to support the work and witness of the church in the Middle East and North Africa.

We are looking for an experienced leader to oversee our ministry’s ongoing Arabic operations and procedures as Executive Director for SAT-7 Arabic Channels. This role oversees all the functions of SAT-7 ARABIC and SAT-7 KIDS, their affiliated digital and social media, plus the SAT-7 ACADEMY brand. It is a key member of the international management team, reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

This role needs to maintain control of diverse ministry operations, so we expect you to be an experienced and efficient leader. If you also have excellent people skills, business acumen and exemplary Christian work ethics, we’d like to meet you.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Facilitates the development and implementation of the channels’ strategy and operation plans for SAT-7 ARABIC, SAT-7 KIDS and Digital Media platforms together with the CEO and the Executive Directors of Egypt and Lebanon television production centers and Arabic Digital Media Director.
• Set comprehensive goals for performance and directly supervises the Arabic Executive Directors of the production centers in Egypt and Lebanon as well as the Arabic Digital Director and the Audience Relations Manager.
• Lead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication, withholding and promoting the ministry culture and vision.
• Evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics.
• Write and submit reports to the CEO in all matters of importance.
• Assist CEO in fundraising ventures.
• Manage relationships with partners/vendors.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Be sympathetic with and enthusiastic about the purpose and goals of SAT-7
• Be a committed Christian with a truly interdenominational attitude and openness to increasing his/her knowledge and appreciation of Middle Eastern Christianity, in all its diversity.
• Proven experience as an Executive Leader
• Outstanding organizational, leadership abilities with excellent interpersonal skills
• Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
• Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development
• Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
• Previous experience in tv production, satellite, digital and social media
• Previous experience of working in the Middle East and/or North Africa
• Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing to facilitate working in a multi-cultural, multidenominational environment.
• Fluent in English and Arabic an advantage
• Be able to improvise and operate on generally modest budgets.
• Ability and willingness to travel.
• MSc in management, media or relevant subject/MBA a plus
