How do we equip the next generation?

SAT-7 is equipping the next generation of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA)… but what does this mean?

We have an integral role in making God’s love visible to everyone across the region. Shaped by hope, we want to invest in those who are the future of the MENA: the next generation.

EQUIPPING CHILDREN WITH EDUCATION

There is a great need for initiatives that go beyond the basic humanitarian response of supplying food and shelter. SAT-7 provides quality education and encourages critical thinking. It plants seeds of learning that will bloom into a healthier and stronger society in the MENA. We strive to provide a safe, quality learning environment to prevent children from falling victim to misguided teaching or violent, extremist ideology.

EQUIPPING CHILDREN TO MANAGE TRAUMA

Trauma can permanently mark the lives of even the most resilient children, causing a number of behavioural and emotional issues later in life. For some, the psychological impact of these traumatic events can cause physical health problems. Others may become antisocial or highly anxious and fearful. We encourage children to call into live programs and counselling centres to express themselves and help them find healing.

EQUIPPING CHILDREN TO LOVE OTHERS

We want to teach children that even amid turmoil and trauma, they can find healing, peace, fulfilment in focusing on helping others. We want to inspire them to be a blessing to those around them and to love and serve, as Jesus does. We air programs that teach love and forgiveness rather than retaliation.

EQUIPPING PARENTS IN RAISING THEIR CHILDREN

We want to empower parents to provide their children with spiritual and practical guidance, to help them with their education, and to protect their health and well being. By equipping parents to be good examples, we enable them to pass on positive values, thus helping secure a better future for the region. We provide counselling programs that help deal with anxiety, depression, and doubt that are full of biblical and spiritual teaching to help them cope with the struggles they face every day.
